While google search says that intuition is the result of the brain drawing on past experiences, as a medium I would say it is the very opposite. When trying to get intuitive answers, you do not want to draw on logic and connect the dots in any way. You want the information to flow naturally, and sometimes it will not make any sense, but I guarantee it is very accurate.
